We sailed from Birkenhead to Mombasa in 4 weeks around the Cape.

Chief Steward. Tommy "Cod Eye" Smith.
Alan Williams. Chief Engineer.
Me, Bill Lambert. 2nd Engineer.
Gordon Quigley. 3rd Engineer.
Mike Manley. 4th Engineer.
Tom. 5th Enginner.
The two 6th engineers came from Birkenhead & Bootle.
Steve Horsefall AKA, Donkey Drop. 1st Electrician.
Colin Wentworth. 2nd Electrician.
Dick. The one deck cadet.
It was a good trip of around +4 months. Just one stoppage at sea for 1 hour on the way back due to engineer error.
Docked and paid off in Avonmouth in November.
